Booking Policy​

Reservation & Cancellation Policy

To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit is required within 48 hours of booking. Online reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. Reservations made within 60 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

• 90+ days before arrival: Full refund, less a 10% administrative fee

• 60–89 days before arrival: 50% refund

• Less than 60 days before arrival: No refunds. Account credits may be offered on a case-by-case basis.

• Holiday reservations (December 1 – January 31): No refunds for cancellations or no-shows.

Weather-Related Cancellations

If weather conditions make boat travel unsafe, we will reschedule your transfer whenever possible. If rescheduling is not feasible, a full refund less a 15% administrative fee will be issued.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected events that may affect your trip.

Damage Policy

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to resort property or equipment due to negligence or accidents. Repair or replacement costs, including shipping and applicable duties, will be charged to the responsible guest.​​​

No Outside Food & Beverage Allowed

To support our island restaurant and bar operations, outside food and beverages are not permitted on the island without prior approval from management. Exceptions may be made for infant formula, baby food, medically necessary dietary items, or other special circumstances.

Right to Refuse Service or Cancel Reservations

King Lewey's Island Resort is a small, intimate privately owned island where guests, staff, and multiple travel groups share the same limited space and amenities. To protect the safety, comfort, and overall experience of everyone on the island, all reservations are subject to final acceptance by King Lewey's Island Resort.

We reserve the right, at our reasonable discretion, to refuse service, decline or cancel reservations before arrival, or require a guest to leave the property if we believe doing so is in the best interests of the resort, our guests, our staff, or the overall guest experience. This includes, but is not limited to, abusive, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior, failure to follow resort policies, or circumstances where a guest's expectations or conduct are not compatible with the experience King Lewey's Island Resort is designed to provide.

If we cancel a reservation before arrival for reasons unrelated to payment or fraud, any deposits or payments made will generally be refunded in full.​ Our goal is simple: to provide every guest with a relaxed, respectful, and unforgettable Belize island experience.
