If you’re already in Placencia, we’ll pick you up directly at the MnM Gas Dock, where your boat transfer to the island begins. Step 1: Arrive in Belize, most guests arrive through Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City. From there, you have two convenient options to reach Placencia, the departure point for King Lewey's Island Resort.
Option 1: Fly to Placencia (Fastest & Most Popular) The quickest way to reach the island is by a scenic 30-minute domestic flight from Belize City to Placencia. Once you arrive in Placencia, our team will meet you and escort you to the dock for your boat transfer to the island.
Option 2: Private Ground Transfer. Prefer to travel by road? We can help arrange a private air-conditioned transfer from Belize International Airport directly to Placencia.
Step 2: Boat Transfer to King Lewey's Island ResortAll guests arrive at the MnM Dock in Placencia where our captain will welcome you aboard. Boat Transfer Details: Approximately 40 minutes to KLIR, Crystal-clear Caribbean waters. Incredible views on the ride to the island.
Travel Tips: We recommend booking international departure flights later in the day whenever possible. Many guests choose to spend an extra night in Placencia before returning home. Weather conditions and water conditions may occasionally affect boat schedules.
